DR. JENNIFER McMONIGLE | NEUROLOGIST

Dr. Jennifer McMonigle is a board-certified Neurologist practicing in East Northport, which is Suffolk County on Long Island (New York). She provides compassionate care to patients, helping them successfully manage a range of neurological conditions such as concussion, migraine, multiple sclerosis, dementia, parkinson’s disease, carpal tunnel syndrome and many others. She works closely with patients to alleviate debilitating symptoms including headache, nerve pain, back pain, tremors and weakness.

Dr. McMonigle is dedicated to delivering personalized care as a Neurologist in East Northport, NY. Dr. McMonigle prioritizes patient comfort in a modern, welcoming medical facility in Suffolk County. Dr. McMonigle remains committed to her patients from their initial consultation and through the treatment process. Patients are well-informed, consulted, and supported throughout their treatment plan.

In 2016, Dr. McMonigle opened Mcmonigle Neurology Associates in Smithtown and in December 2020, moved to her practice to East Northport, NY. Throughout the years, she has built a stellar reputation within the medical community and with her patients. Dr. McMonigle often receives referrals from Primary Care Physicians, other Neurologists within New York, and a variety of other medical specialists in the Long Island Area.

Raised in West Hempstead, New York, Dr. McMonigle completed her undergraduate education at SUNY Cortland. She then went on to attend the NYU Master’s in the biology program. Her medical education began at The New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. After graduating from medical school in 2001 she interned in the internal medicine department at Nassau University Medical Center. Dr. McMonigle continued her training in Neurology at Stony Brook University Hospital, serving as the Chief Resident of the hospital’s neurology department.

Following residency, Dr. McMonigle continued on to Stony Brook University to complete a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology. Dr. McMonigle serves as a Diplomat of the American Board of Neurology where she has held board certification since 2007. She is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology as well.

Dr. McMonigle currently resides in Fort Salonga with her family. She studies Martial Arts and is an avid animal lover.

Shannan Ricoy | RPA-C

Shannan Ricoy received her Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the New York Institute of Technology in 2003 and her Master of Science with a Concentration in Education in Leadership from A.T. Stills University in 2009. Since graduation, Ms. Ricoy has been a distinguished leader in the Physician Assistant community and has proven commitment to education and patient centered outcomes. She is an Assistant Professor and the Senior Clinical Coordinator for Hofstra University’s Physician Assistant Program. She is the Chair of the Elections Committee for the New York State Society of Physician Assistant’s (NYSSPA) and actively involved in the American Academy of Physician Assistant’s (AAPA), the Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA) and various departmental and University committees. She is also on the interview board for Hofstra’s Physician Assistant Program and Hofstra’s School of Medicine.Additionally, Ms. Ricoy clinically practices in the areas of Family Medicine and Neurology. 

Her approach to medicine includes an appreciation of the interdependence of the many body systems, emphasis on healthy lifestyles and self-care, educating patients on the nature of their illness and empowering them to make appropriate medical and non-medical decisions about their health. She is knowledge, experienced and friendly. Ms. Ricoy always strives to make each patient feel comfortable during their office visit, encouraging a collaborative treatment plan that is unique to each of her patients.

Ms. Ricoy also enjoys spending time with her three children, family, and friends. She is an active member of the Scouting community and enjoys all things outdoors, especially, hiking, camping and archery.

Brenda Price

Brenda Price received her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Stony Brook University Medical Center in 2010. She graduated with her Masters degree in 1990 from Stony Brook as an Adult Health Nurse Practitioner and is certified as an Acute Care NP and Critical Care RN. Brenda’s areas of expertise include the treatment of ADHD and Migraine headaches. She is certified in Botox for Migraines. Brenda has also received certification from Empire Medical Training in cosmetic Botox and dermal fillers.

Brenda worked for over 30 years at Stony Brook University Hospital where she received the Excellence in Clinical Practice Award and Certificate of Appreciation for valuable contributions. She was an adjunct clinical nursing instructor at Suffolk Community College and was a charge nurse at Southside Hospital. She is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and the New York State Nurse Practitioner Association.

Brenda is compassionate and is dedicated to her patients. Her research focus was on Patient and Family Centered Care and she was the keynote speaker for Professional Achievement in Nursing at Stony Brook University. A true listener, she values the patient/family-centered approach and offers individualized medical care based on each patient’s specific needs.

Brenda is happily married with four children and four grandchildren. On her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and exercising: body, mind and spirit.

Dr. Rousseau

Dr.Rousseau is a board-certified interventional pain medicine physician and anesthesiologist. For over 15 years, Dr. Rousseau has provided pain management care to tens of thousands of patients with a variety of pain conditions including headaches, neck pain, back pain, joint pain, arthritis, neuropathy, and cancer pain. He currently sees patients in multiple locations across Long Island. He is currently affiliated with SpinePain Solutions, Good Samaritan Medical Center, and Northwell-Huntington Hospital.

Dr. Rousseau attended Yale University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Biology. He went on to receive his medical degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, where he also completed his medical internship. Dr. Rousseau completed both his anesthesiology residency and interventional pain management fellowship at the prestigious Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, NY. During this training, he learned the latest advanced medical treatments in managing chronic pain.

A Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology with a subspecialty certification in Pain Management, Dr. Rousseau also has a medical certification in acupuncture and medical marijuana, which he incorporates into his holistic, customized treatment plans.
